The Circle of Belonging
Walk with a Family. Share the Journey. Build a New Future Alongside Them
The Circle of Belonging is a commitment made by congregations, church groups, and families across America to walk side by side with Afrikaner families who are starting a new life here after hardship and loss.
It is not a charity program. It is a fellowship of restoration—rooted in Scripture, hospitality, and the belief that every family deserves safety, dignity, and a strong foundation in their new home.

Why It Matters
When Afrikaner families arrive in the U.S., they bring with them deep faith, a powerful work ethic, and generations of culture and tradition. But starting over in a new country—far from familiar surroundings—is never easy.
That’s where the Circle of Belonging steps in: a caring network that ensures no family walks that path alone.
What the Circle Offers
Your congregation or sponsor team commits to walk alongside a family for 6–12 months, offering:
Housing Support – Helping the family settle into a safe and welcoming home
Practical Guidance – Assisting with daily life: grocery shopping, transport, school enrollment
Spiritual Encouragement – Connecting the family with a church community that honors their traditions
Employment Support – Helping find job opportunities that align with their skills
Relationship & Friendship – Simply being present—sharing meals, birthdays, Bible studies, and stories
Who Can Join?
Church congregations (of any size)
Bible study or home groups
Christian schools or youth ministries
Extended families with a heart for service
Whether your team is five people or fifty, what matters is commitment, care, and consistency.
Why Afrikaner Families Need You
Many Afrikaner families have experienced profound dislocation—from farms, communities, or institutions that no longer feel safe or welcoming. Some have survived trauma, injustice, or persecution for their values or heritage.
What they seek now is not a handout—but a community that understands, that listens, that prays, and that helps them get back on their feet.
You can be that answer.

“We Didn’t Just Help Them. They Changed Us.”
Again and again, host families tell us that walking with an Afrikaner family didn’t just bless the newcomers—it transformed their own lives.
Because true belonging is a two-way road.
And in Christ, we’re never strangers—we're family.
