Virtual Placement Support Teams

Journey With Them From Anywhere

You don’t have to live near an arriving family to be part of their journey. Through our Virtual Support Teams, believers across the country can come together to offer guidance, encouragement, and real-world help to Afrikaner families beginning anew in America.

Whether you live in a small town or a big city, your voice, your prayers, and your time can make a life-changing difference.

What Is Virtual Support?

Virtual Support is a way to walk alongside an Afrikaner family remotely—offering emotional, logistical, and spiritual help through weekly calls, texts, or video chats.

It’s ideal for church groups, Bible studies, or individuals who feel called to serve—but may not live near a sponsoring community.

What You Can Do Remotely

Help with Practical Tasks

  • Set up appointments or research local services

  • Assist with online job applications

  • Help enroll children in school

  • Locate community churches or Afrikaans-speaking networks

Be a Source of Encouragement

  • Pray with the family weekly

  • Listen with compassion

  • Celebrate milestones: first job, first birthday in the U.S., school achievements

Provide English Language Support

  • Practice conversational English via Zoom or phone

  • Use Scripture readings and hymns as teaching tools

  • Encourage children and adults in learning with patience and care

Empower, Don’t Enable

Our model respects each family’s strength and capabilities. Your role is not to carry their burden—but to walk beside them, uplifting them as they rebuild with dignity.

Who Can Join a Virtual Team?

  • Pastors and church volunteers

  • Afrikaner Americans who want to support their community

  • Christian professionals with flexible time

  • Youth leaders, grandparents, young adults—everyone with a willing heart

You Don’t Need to Be Local to Be Loyal

Even across distance, your encouragement can be felt. Families tell us again and again:

“Knowing someone was praying for us every week gave us strength.”
