What We Do

Family Relocation & New Beginnings

Helping Afrikaner Families Start Again with Dignity and Faith

At the Afrikaners in Christ Council of America, we believe no family should be left behind when safety, freedom, and livelihood are threatened. When Afrikaner families face mounting insecurity, targeted violence, or economic collapse, we provide a pathway to begin again, and being rooted in community, faith, and cultural continuity.

We welcome families with open arms, not into shelters, but into church networks, homes, and towns that feel familiar, as well as places where Afrikaans is spoken, hymns are sung, and the values of hard work and faith endure.

A Christ-Centered Model of Relocation

We do not believe in handouts. We believe in honor, dignity, and mutual responsibility. Our relocation process ensures families are not only safe—but positioned to flourish.

We work through a proven 3-part model:

1. Arrival & Welcome

  • Families are greeted at the airport by a local sponsor team.

  • Temporary housing is pre-arranged—furnished, safe, and close to community networks.

  • A welcome meal and bilingual orientation session help families feel seen and supported from day one.

2. Stabilization & Integration

  • We assist with key registrations (banking, school, healthcare, driver’s license, etc.)

  • English support is provided, as well as Afrikaans-speaking volunteers.

  • Children are enrolled in culturally aware schools; parents are introduced to job placement options through our employment partners.

3. Empowerment & Independence

  • Families work toward financial self-sufficiency within 6–12 months.

  • Spiritual and emotional support continues through local Reformed churches.

  • Each family is encouraged to bless others once established—helping “the next family off the plane.”

Why Our Approach Works

  • Community-Led

We work with co-sponsors—usually church groups or extended Afrikaner families already settled in the U.S.—who provide hands-on support.

  • Faith-Focused

Every step is grounded in Scripture, prayer, and shared values.

  • Culturally Respectful

We understand the unique concerns of Afrikaners—pride, language, tradition, and trauma. We respond with dignity, not pity.

How You Can Help

  • Form a Co-Sponsorship Team: Walk alongside a family for 6–12 months.

  • Furnish a Home: Provide essentials for a family’s first apartment.

  • Drive or Translate: Help families attend appointments or communicate with confidence.

  • Pray & Give: Support our mission with intercession and financial gifts.

Building New Roots, Together

Afrikaner families bring faith, skills, and resilience wherever they go. We simply help them plant those gifts in new soil—where they can grow strong once more.

Because starting over should never mean starting alone.
